Dr. Kamal Grewal
Dr. Grewal creates beautiful smiles for his patients everyday. His caring, compassionate personality and infectious sense of humour will make your visit a memorable one. Dr. Grewal is a 1996 graduate of the University of British Columbia. He stays current on the latest techniques and utilizes the best materials proven by the latest research. He also attends rigorous courses and clinical study in Restorative, Cosmetic, Implantology, Orthodontics, and Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Grewal is dedicated to providing his patients with safe, clean, and comfortable dental treatment.

Dr. Renata Kutsankina
Dr. Renata Kutsankina joined our office in February 2015. Her friendly, caring personality and her desire to provide the very best dental treatment has made her popular with patients of all ages. She earned her dental degree at the University of Toronto in 2013. Renata has made Parksville BC her home with her daughter and husband. She enjoys long walks on the beach, reading, and quality time with her family.
Dr. Dustin Trudeau
Dr. Trudeau was born and raised in Nanaimo before leaving to the University of Victoria to study for his Bachelor of Science in Biology. After graduating, he spent some time doing stroke and diabetes research prior to moving to Vancouver and obtaining his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of British Columbia. He graduated with winning numerous awards including the British Columbia Dental Association Award. He brings passion and enthusiasm to all his work, combined with a desire to always learn more. When not in the office working to improve the oral health in the community, he can be found on the golf course or out with his wife exploring the beautiful outdoors that Vancouver Island has to offer.
Dr. Akbar Khaiat
Dr. Akbar Khaiat graduated from the university of Tehran school of dental medicine. He entered a post graduate program at the university of Boston, Mass, and received MS and specialist certificate degrees in Endodontics in 1977. Akbar with 40 years experience in non surgical and surgical root canal treatment aimed at saving the teeth were consider too difficult . He published more than 45 articles , contributed and presented lectures in international conferences. He is a registered specialist in Endodontics with the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia (CDSBC) and is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentistry of Canada (RCDC). Dr Khaiat now serves as clinical associate professor at UBC instructing Endodontics for graduate and undergraduate students.
Dr. Kathem Talebian
Dr. Kathem Talebian graduated from the University of Baghdad. Upon graduation he completed a four-year post-doctorate hospital residency training in Oral Surgery in the UK. He has been in periodontal study clubs in Vancouver for over 30 years. Dr. Talebian is American and Canadian National Dental Boards certified and has been practising dentistry in BC for over 30 years.
Dr. Happy Ghag, BSC (PHARM), DDS, MS
Advanced Education in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, MS Oral Biology
Dr.Ghag attended the University of British Columbia, where he obtained a Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science degree. After working as a pharmacist for two years, he then went to pursue his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Howard University in Washington D.C..
Dr.Ghag’s interest in Orthodontics then led him to the University of Las Vegas, where he completed his specialty residency in Orthodontics. He was the chief resident of his class, and graduated with a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology in addition to a certificate in Orthodontics. Dr.Ghag’s impressive research in stem cells shed new light on their harvesting potential. His innovation gained national recognition and led him to a patent.
He is a certified dental specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics with the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and is certified and board eligible for the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Ghag is an assistant clinical instructor at the University of British Columbia (UBC) where he enjoys teaching dental students. Dr.Ghag’s specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics allows him to treat all types of malocclusions (“bad bites”) in adults and children. Dr.Ghag was born in Hope and raised in Chilliwack. He attended, elementary, middle and secondary school in Chilliwack.
